Bushcraft Basics – Logie Steading

22/04/2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

£20

Learn the basics of bushcraft and have fun in nature. The perfect outdoor experience for the whole family!

There’ll be something for everyone whether old or young. This is a great activity to do as a family too as there will be plenty of teamwork needed!

Although open to everyone, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

What do I need?

1. sensible footware (paths can be slippy)

2. Waterbottle and snack

3. Waterproofs (if needed)

4. Binoculars and/or camera

What’s the plan?

The sessions will meet at Logie Steading by the main entrance before heading out into the beautiful estate grounds to explore the woodlands. The estate is diverse and wonderfully remote and we will be looking at a number of different habitats and locations. Although there will be a bit of foraging it’s a good idea to bring a snack and don’t forget to check the weather!

Logie Steading has some wonderful shops and a cafe and so we will aim to finish back at the main buildings by around 12:30- giving you time to explore before lunch.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Will’s background is as an animal biologist. He now works as a professional wildlife photographer and filmmaker around Scotland. His real passion, however, is teaching, so he spends much of his time sharing the wonders of nature with kids and adults all over the country. His expertise in tracking and bushcraft have helped him get some beautiful images and video which have been published internationally. If you want to ask some photography questions while on this course then he will be happy to help.
