General Terms and Conditions

For bed & breakfast reservations, the price given is a room rate and includes accommodation, breakfast, private parking and Wifi. For Self-Catering reservations, the stated price is for the exclusive use of the whole cottage or apartment, private parking and Wifi but does not include any meals. Additional purchases from reception, from the restaurant or from the bar can be paid for by banker’s card of cash at point of sale or can be added to your bill and paid when checking out. Private parking is within the grounds and is free during your stay but is entirely at your own risk.

We are sorry but we do not accept bed & breakfast bookings for children under 8 years of age. For self-catering reservations, we accept children of all ages.

Isla Bank House is a strictly non-smoking establishment. If any evidence of smoking is found in rooms guests will be asked to leave immediately and will be liable for the full cost of their stay. In addition to this an excess of £150 will be charged to cover the cost of deep cleaning.

We regret that we do not accept pets at Isla Bank House.

Cancellation and Insurance
If you need to cancel your stay please contact us as soon as possible.
For cancellations of bed & breakfast or self catering reservations made up to 30 calendar days before your stay, we will refund the balance of your payment minus bank transaction fees (usually around 5% to cover the initial payment and the refund). For cancellations made after this time you will be liable for the full cost of your stay. We would recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover you in the event of a cancellation.

Non-availability of accommodation
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation of a similar standard. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Isla Bank House’s liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Check-in is between 4:30pm and 7pm. We are happy to arrange check-in outside of these times but this is by appointment only.

On your day of departure check-out is 10am to 11am unless otherwise arranged.

Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying at Isla Bank House. The house is furnished with a great many antiques and you are responsible and liable for any breakages and damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report any spills, damages or breakages as soon as they occur and we will endeavour to avoid any permanent damage. If we are unable to do so then we may need make a charge for repair if the damage or breakage is significant.
A charge of £20 will be levied for replacement room keys should the need arise.
A charge may be made if, after vacating the property, additional cleaning is required beyond what would be reasonably expected, or if items such as towels, pillows, books or robes have been removed from the accommodation.

Isla Bank House does not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.
