SUMMARY:Twelfth Night at Leith Hall
DESCRIPTION:Following a shipwreck\, Viola is washed-up in Illyria\, where her only chance for survival is to make use of her quick wit and fine singing voice\, disguising herself as a man and applying to work in the court of Duke Orsino. \nThe lovesick Orsino sends “him” to lady Olivia to woo her on his behalf\, but Viola’s efforts are so successful that Olivia falls for Viola rather than Orsino. Meanwhile Olivia’s carousing uncle Sir Toby Belch crosses swords with her steward Malvolio and devises a wicked plan to humiliate him. It could all end in tears – even if most of them are of laughter. \nIllyria presents an evening of yearning romance\, music and sheer joy – all performed on a stage inspired by those of the Elizabethan touring troupes. \nRunning time (approx): 2hrs 20mins (inc 20 minute interval) \nSuitable for ages 8+Tickets via: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/illyria/t-avzkjex \nPlease bring your own seating/rug\, suitable clothing and a picnic. \nWell-behaved dogs on leads are permitted. Venue is wheelchair accessible.

SUMMARY:Shooglenifty Concert - Findhorn
DESCRIPTION:Shooglenifty was formed in 1990 by musicians from the Scottish Highlands\, Orkney and Edinburgh. Its bright spark was the idea of fusing traditional and traditional-sounding melodies with the beats and bass-lines of a mixed bag of more contemporary influences. As happy playing a small highland village hall as they are on an outdoor festival stage playing to tens of thousands\, the Shoogles (as they’re known to their fans) have promoted Scottish music all over the world for three decades. In a career spanning many firsts – the first band to incite a stage invasion at the Sydney Opera House\, the first UK band to play in Cuba\, and the first Scots to perform in the Borneo Rainforest – Shooglenifty blazed a trail that many other top Scottish traditional bands have followed. But they are still the original and best. They will get you on your feet with their electric new tunes and a full-on set of old favourites. \nShooglenifty reached the ripe old age of 30 in 2020. Hopes that they would finally settle down to the quiet life were dashed when they accepted an invitation to start the year in style by performing at midnight for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay. \nOn sparkling form and armed with a brand-new album of fresh tunes\, released during lockdown\, the Shoogles will entertain as only they can.

With her eclectic repertoire of folk\, jazz\, bossa nova\, Baroque\, Classical and Romantic music\, Yuliya is a very welcome performer in many European and American concert halls\, playing solo concerts and appearing with orchestras. \nTwo wonderful world-class guitarists. SUMMARY:Lossie Session - Concert
DESCRIPTION:We are super excited to be putting on the first Lossie Session in the wonderful Lossiemouth Town Hall as a fundraiser for Brother Sea who are representing Scotland at two major European Festivals this Spring and Summer. All profits from ticket sales and the bar will go towards their travel expenses. \nBrother Sea will be sharing the stage with two other talented Scottish artists\, Calum Ingram and local boy William Freeman… \nBROTHER SEA: \nBrother Sea’s music is that of departure into a wild adventure\, sweeping you away with a sense of a new beginning. With hypnotic vocals accompanied by a playful twist on classic folk instruments they create awe and intrigue with songs that are like campfire stories exploring heritage and folklore as they gently flicker through captivating soundscapes. \nCALUM INGRAM: \nCalum has played the cello from age nine and never looked back. He’s developed a unique approach to the cello inter-twin-ing his strings. \nIn 2013 Calum wrote and performed music for the off-Broadway Show Devision Avenue and won the award for Best Sound Design as part of The Midtown International Theatre Festival\, New York City. Later that year\, he released his debut album “Making It Possible.” \nIn 2015\, he headlined the acoustic main stage at The Wicker Man Festival in Scotland\, followed by the release of his “Turn Around” live EP. Shortly after his return\, he signed a publishing deal with 23rd Precinct/Nottinghill Music. \nIn 2017\, Calum was featured in the Sky Arts TV series\, Tony Visconti’s “Unsigned Heroes” which saw him performing a duet with Stewart Copeland (The Police) as part of Visconti’s 50 Years in Music celebratory concert. \nCalum’s debut album was nominated for Best Album and for the Kevin Thorpe Award at the British Blues Awards in 2014. \nWILLIAM FREEMAN: \nHailing from Lossiemouth and now living in Glasgow\, William Freeman’s soft guitar melodies mixed with meaningful lyrics provide easy listening songs that fit comfortably in the folk/acoustic genre.
