Local Food & Drink

This weekend Isla Bank House welcomes a special guest. She is a very dear friend and for this weekend she’s also going to be our critical friend.

Now that the first guest room is ready we’ve asked her to test us and what we offer and give us valuable feedback so when our paying guests start to arrive we can offer them the very best hospitality and accommodation.

Getting to Isla Bank House isn’t difficult. When you fly to Aberdeen we are about an hour away by car. The A96 route is so scenic; pastures, rivers, mountains in the distance, fields full of spring lambs and of course Highland Coos. There’s the added bonus of comparatively empty roads.

If you are peckish on the way there’s a great restaurant; Morgan McVeigh’s. Its independent, sells local produce in the gift shop and has stunning views of Glens of Foundland. Give it a try on your way to see us. We’ve been there a few times. Their scones are yummy.
